ANTIQUE – The provincial government of Antique is gearing up for the upcoming Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat, a nationwide initiative that will be held simultaneously across the country on September 13 to mark the birthday of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Provincial Administrator Atty. Robin Rubinos, representing Gov. Paolo Javier, led the recent coordination meeting at the New Capitol Complex, with representatives from the office of Cong. AA Legarda, various provincial government offices, national agencies, and the municipal government of San Jose de Buenavista in attendance.
Among the activities lined up are a local product exhibit through Kadiwa ng Pangulo and the distribution of government assistance programs. These include the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) TUPAD program, the P20-rice program, and insurance assistance for affected fisherfolk and farmers in the province.
Last year’s Handog ng Pangulo in the province saw more than P44 million worth of government payouts and support distributed at the EBJ Gymnasium, Binirayan Sports Complex in San Jose de Buenavista.
This year, Antique officials are expecting another successful turnout as government agencies converge to bring essential services closer to the people./PN
