Antiqueño vlogger dies after electrocution incident in resort

ANTIQUE — A popular local vlogger here passed away on Tuesday morning, July 7, after being electrocuted by a faulty microphone at an inland resort in Culasi town.

The victim was identified as the 23-year-old Simon “Super Estong” Capindit Jr. He was a member of the Antique content creator group Team Ragumo.

According to the investigation by the Culasi Municipal Police Station (MPS), the incident occurred past 12 p.m. on Monday, July 6. Super Estong was holding the microphone and intending to sing when he was suddenly electrocuted due to an allegedly grounded connection.

The victim’s aunt filed a blotter report with the Culasi MPS, noting that his condition was critical immediately after the incident. He was rushed to the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital in San Jose de Buenavista town. Police said Estong died while receiving treatment at the hospital.

The vlogger’s family shared the tragic news in an emotional Facebook post on Tuesday morning. His older sibling, MV Alocilja Capindit, detailed the difficult situation they faced before his passing, revealing that doctors had exhausted all efforts.

Local fans and followers have since poured out their condolences online, mourning the sudden loss of the beloved Antiqueño content creator.
