OG ANUNOBY delivered a strong two-way performance as New York Knicks pulled away from Los Angeles Lakers for a 112-100 victory in the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season on Sunday night (Monday in the Philippines) in New York.
Anunoby scored 25 points, including seven during a key late third-quarter surge that swung the game in New York’s favor. He also finished with eight rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Landry Shamet provided a big lift off the bench with 23 points, while Josh Hart added 20. Karl-Anthony Towns posted 11 points and 13 rebounds, and Jalen Brunson contributed 12 points and 13 assists for the Knicks, now on a six-game winning run.
The Knicks closed the third with a late run sparked by Shamet, Brunson and Anunoby, turning a slim 77-75 deficit to a 90-82 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
New York maintained control in the final period, taking its first double-digit lead at 99-89 with 5:57 remaining on a jumper by Hart. The Knicks led by at least eight the rest of the way to seal the win.
The Lakers were led by Luka Doncic, who scored 30 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. LeBron James had 22 points, five rebounds and six assists, while Deandre Ayton and Rui Hachimura had 13 and 11.
Meanwhile, RJ Barrett scored 21 points, while Sandro Mamukelashvili added 20 points as Toronto Raptors halted a two-game losing skid to defeat the visiting Utah Jazz, 107-100.
Scottie Barnes added 14 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots as the Raptors started a five-game homestand. Brandon Ingram scored 19 points and Immanuel Quickley contributed 17 points.
Lauri Markkanen scored 27 points and added 11 rebounds, Jusuf Nurkic had 11 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks, Isaiah Collier scored 19 points and Cody Williams added 10 points for the Jazz.
