SINGER and actress Ashtine Olviga shared that her onscreen partner, Andres Muhlach, was her plot twist for 2024. The “Mutya ng Section E” star admitted this in the recent Rec•Create episode where the two played a lie detector game.
The tandem of Ashtine and Andres, popularly known as AshDres, has risen to popularity with their undeniable chemistry onscreen. The two are set to reunite once more in the upcoming film, “Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna,” directed by Jason Paul Laxamana.
In the episode, the two actors answered some questions and had to put their hands on a lie detector machine, which give them an electric shock should they tell a lie.
When asked if Andres was her type, Ashtine shared that he wasn’t at first but later on would find him cute. Despite her answer, the machine detected a lie but she then explained that she was really telling the truth.
“Nung una hind pero nung nakilala kita… Noong una hindi kasi mas tumitingin ako sa heart ng tao tapos nung nakilala ko siya, sabi ko ay cute naman,” she explained.
The young actress then expressed how she got to know more about him as they continued taping for their hit series. Since then, the two have bonded with each other and have been friends alongside their fellow cast members.
When asked to give a message to Andres, Ashtine maintained that she is grateful for him and considered him as a “blessing” and her “plot twist” back in 2024.
“Ang masasabi ko lang ay happy ako na nakilala kita at blessing ka sa akin. Sabi ko sa kanya yun siya ‘yung plot twist ko nung 2024,” she said.
Andres then made sure to return the favor and expressed how close they’ve gotten over the past year since they worked. (Push Team)
