BACOLOD City – With the theme “Fire and Fusion,” the 2025 Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival officially kicks off at 10 a.m. today along Fr. Ferrero Street in Barangay 12, in front of the temporary location of Manokan Country.
A major highlight of the event is the launch and countdown to the Longest Grill Festival, which will take place on May 22 at 6 p.m. at the Upper East Megaworld, said Councilor Celia Flor, chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) committee on markets.
A variety of activities are lined up throughout the festival, including:

The festival is mandated under City Ordinance No. 847, which amended Section 1 of Ordinance No. 482, officially renaming the event from Manokan Country Inasal Festival to Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival, and designating it as an annual celebration every May.
This year’s opening is held at Manokan Country’s temporary site following the demolition of its original location as part of the redevelopment project of SM Prime Holdings, Inc. The event also aims to promote the new site.
The Bacolod Tourism Development Office is spearheading the event, highlighting Bacolod’s iconic chicken inasal fused with culinary innovation, cultural pride, and community spirit./PN
