ANTIQUE – A mix of new and familiar faces will assume office as local chief executives (LCEs) in the 18 municipalities of this province beginning June 30.
The recently concluded May 12 midterm elections saw a combination of re-elected incumbents, sitting local officials transitioning to higher posts, and first-time winners taking the helm as mayors across the province.
Here are the official results from Antique’s 18 municipalities:
Anini-y
* Rene Pollicar – The newly-elected mayor garnered 5,770 votes, defeating Jorrey Sampior (3,649 votes) and Bing Cazeñas (2,430 votes).
Barbaza
* Bobby Necor – This re-elected mayor secured 12,329 votes, ahead of Pingping Francisco (858 votes) and Boy Ex Vista (212 votes).
Belison
* Christopher Piccio – This re-elected mayor received 4,926 votes, defeating Darell Dela Flor who obtained 3,810 votes.
Bugasong
* Victor Condez (unopposed) – This outgoing Sangguniang Panlalawigan member was proclaimed as the newly-elected mayor who garnered 9,825 votes.
Caluya
* Nonoy Rigil Lim – This re-elected mayor won with 18,454 votes over SB Member Oyo Contreras who got 2,829 votes.
Culasi
* Joel Lomugdang – This re-elected mayor narrowly won with 12,280 votes, edging out Wakoy Xavier (12,243 votes) and Bibiano Herco (502 votes).
Hamtic
* Junjun Pacificador – This re-elected mayor obtained 20,031 votes, defeating Pio Sumande (5,839 votes) and Jason Carlos Javier (572 votes).
Laua-an
* Aser Ontoy Baladjay – He was re-elected with 10,401 votes, surpassing Bebong Baladjay who had 6,736 votes.
Libertad
* Maribeth Laserna – The new mayor won with 5,032 votes, outpacing Menmenmanman Tandug (2,880 votes), Norberto Raymundo Jr. (1,860 votes), and Danilo Alano (60 votes).
Pandan
* Tommy Estoperez – This re-electionist garnered 12,177 votes against Jeremy Tan (9,625 votes) and Joey Lamigas (122 votes).
Patnongon
* Johnny Flores Bacongallo – This re-elected mayor secured 12,468 votes, defeating Ricric Orcasitas who had 6,826 votes.
San Jose de Buenavista
* PJ Untaran – This newly-elected mayor won with 19,098 votes, ahead of Justin Encarnacion (9,442 votes) and Rony Molina (5,741 votes).
San Remigio
* Mar Mission – He retained his seat with 12,246 votes, besting Doc Jemar Fama (6,181 votes) and Doc Pedro Francisco (1,748 votes).
Sebaste
* January Padpad – He emerged victorious as the new mayor with 6,817 votes over Pamela Socorro Azucena’s 4,369 votes.
Sibalom
* Gian Carlo Occeña – This re-elected mayor won decisively with 27,642 votes, defeating Toting Lacsama who received 7,846 votes.
Tibiao
* Weng-Weng Bandoja – He was re-elected by securing 8,668 votes, edging out Dodo Andi Modesto who had 7,007 votes.
Tobias Fornier
* Toto Ernesto Tajanlangit – This re-elected mayor earned 10,319 votes, beating Jojo Fornier who got 6,876 votes.
Valderrama
* Joy Posadas – This re-elected mayor won with 9,791 votes, defeating Samuel Tonogan Sr. who garnered 1,967 votes.
