BACOLOD City – Beginning today, several police stations in this city will have a new commander.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) spokesperson, announced this yesterday, saying they have conducted a minor reshuffling of commanders of various police stations here.
According to Pico, Police Station 10 (PS10) commander, Captain Armilyn Vargas has been reassigned as the new commander of Police Station 8, replacing Police Executive Master Sergeant Voltaire Sy.
Replacing Vargas as station commander of PS10 is Police Major Ruel Culanag, who previously served as commander of Police Station 3.
Sy has been transferred to the BCPO’s Records Section.
Police Station 4 commander, Police Major Reynante Jomocan, was meanwhile, replaced by Police Major Garry Allan Resuma, who was previously the Chief Investigator for the Iloilo City Police Office.
Pico explained that Jomocan was reassigned to Iloilo as he already had a reshuffling agreement with Resuma since December of last year and not because of the recent shooting incidents involving alleged drug suspects in his area of responsibility. He pointed the reshuffling did not immediately take place due declaration of the enhanced community quarantine in the region./PN
