BACOLOD City – Following the nationwide resumption of voter registration effective October 20, 2025, until May 18, 2026, the Bacolod City Commission on Elections (Comelec) has announced the schedule for satellite registration to make the process more accessible and convenient for the public.
The satellite registration program allows residents to register without having to visit the Comelec office along San Juan Street at the Bacolod BAYS Center, which will not accommodate applicants during satellite registration dates. Applicants may only submit voter registration forms at the main office when there is no scheduled satellite registration.
City Comelec election officer Atty. Kathrina Trinio-Caña encouraged residents to follow the schedule posted on the Comelec’s official social media channels. The satellite registration dates are as follows:
* November 3–7: SM City Bacolod
* November 8: Barangay Vista Alegre
* November 15: Barangay Granada
* November 22: Barangay Tangub
* November 29: Barangay Sum-ag
Registration resumed under Comelec Resolution No. 11177, allowing registration from Monday to Saturday, including holidays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with certain exceptions provided in the resolution.
Applicants aged 15 and above are eligible to register. They are advised to bring a valid government-issued ID showing their current barangay address. Other acceptable documents include a student ID valid for the 2025–2026 academic year, or a Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) birth certificate or baptismal certificate.
From October 20 to 24, a total of 1,184 residents filed their registration, with 156 registering on the first day. Most of the applicants were new registrants.
The registration process covers new registration, transfer of registration, correction of entries, change of civil status, transfer from post to local, reactivation, and updating of records for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs)./PN
