Bacolod cops net P408K ‘shabu’, four suspects

BACOLOD City – A coordinated anti-illegal drug operation led by Police Station 8 of the Bacolod City Police Office led to the seizure of approximately 60 grams of suspected shabu worth P408,000 in Barangay Pahanocoy.

The operation, conducted at 12:47 p.m. on December 12, resulted in the arrest of aliases “Von”, 29; “Noel”, 24; “Joy”, 21; and “Angie”, 19. Except for Angie, a resident of Bago City, Negros Occidental, the other suspects are residents of Bacolod City. Authorities reported that all suspects are unemployed.

Confiscated during the operation were seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu.

Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, director of the Police Regional Office 6, praised the successful operation and the teamwork of the Police Station 8, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6, and Special Enforcement Team Bravo.

The suspects were detained at the Police Station 8. They are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
