BACOLOD City – This city is hosting three national conventions this month.
Around 1,500 people are attending the 36th Department of Education Principals Training and Development Program and National Board Conference of the Philippine Elementary School Principals Association, Inc. (PESPA).
The event will be held at the SMX Convention Center from April 19 to 21.
On Tuesday the PESPA national officers met with Leonardia at the Bacolod City Government Center.
From April 20 to 21, members of the Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators – Negros Island Region chapter will gather at L’ Fisher Hotel for their Midyear National Convention.
This year’s convention theme is “Internationalization and Quality Assurance in teacher Education: Challenges and Opportunities.”
Participants aim to acquire in-depth understanding of internationalization and quality assurance in teacher education; discuss challenges and opportunities for internationalization; share research findings and best practices on internationalization and quality assurance; and establish linkages with professional and educational institutions.
On April 27 and 28, the 45th Annual National Convention of the Philippine Association of Collegiate Schools of Business will be held at L’Fisher Hotel with the theme “Networking and Gearing Up for Disruptive Business Education.”
At least 200 delegates are expected to attend to discuss new paradigms, mindsets and innovative approaches to business education, and shape their networking perspective and abilities.
Bacolod is positioning itself as choice destination for national and international meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE).
It has a MICE Ordinance, which underscores MICE tourism bringing various benefits to the city to boost the economy, provide short-term jobs, and serve as a setting where both host and guests can engage in ideas that will further entice progress and innovation.
MICE event locations are normally bid on by specialized convention bureaus or those countries and cities established for the purpose of bidding MICE activities. (PNA)
