Bacolod men ‘yield drugs, gun, ammos’

BACOLOD City – Two drug suspects yielded a gun and suspected shabu estimated to be worth P70,000 in a sting operation in Barangay 8, a Police Station 2 report showed.

Senior Inspector Leo Gestopa, Police Station 2 head, identified the suspects as the 20-year-old John Lloyd Aliguin of Purok Rosas Pandan, Barangay Banago and 24-year-old Jovi Von Japitana of Purok Tunay, Barangay Bata.

Aliguin and Japitana were nabbed after they sold suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer along South Capitol Road around 2:45 a.m. on Thursday.

When frisked, Aliguin yielded five sachets of suspected shabu and a .9mm gun loaded with three live bullets.

The suspects were detained at the Police Station 2 lockup facility, facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

A charge for violation of RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, was also filed against Aliguin./PN
