BACOLOD City – To ramp up coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination, the city government opened a second drive-through inoculation site – the South Parking Area of Ayala Malls Capitol Central.
Its location is “highly strategic”, according to Dr. Edwin Miraflor Jr., officer-in-charge of the City Health Office (CHO).
“It’s visible and easily accessible especially to the working group and busy commuters,” said Miraflor.
The first drive-through vaccination site is on the fifth floor parking area of the same mall.
Both vaccination sites operate from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Miraflor urged the public to get vaccinated, assuring them that the drive-through process “won’t take so much time.”
The Emergency Operations Center-Task Force (EOC-TF) and the COVID-19 Vaccination Council (CoVaC) have introduced other strategies in their vaccination campaign, including the VAX-i, the “BigJab Weekend,” mall-based inoculations, and on-site campaigns in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firms.
“Our goal is to make the vaccines available to as many Bacolodnons. This way, we keep our communities safe as well as our loved ones,” said Mayor Evelio Leonardia.
Those belonging to vaccination priority groups A1 to A5 must bring any government issued ID with a Bacolod address, other supporting documents and a screenshot of their online registration which can be done via the link: tinyurl.com/bcdceironline./PN
