
SILAY City – Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts clinched the crown in the U-12 category of the 1st Asenso Silay Mayors Cup Invitational Basketball League 2019 at the Silay Gym in Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Adrian Alagaban was hailed as the Most Valuable Player on Sunday due to his consistent performance for the Thunderbolts, especially in their championship game against the University of St. La Salle.
Also part of the Thunderbolts team of head coach Atoy Callora were Dave Recodo, Joaquin Chuatico, Jorald Gambol, Frederick Uy, Joven Gonzales, William Malacad, Francis Lamasan, Marcus Severino, John Bejemino, and Carlos Cacantana.
Completing the roster were Ronnie Medina, Asya Wang, James Li, Shenlee Arriesgad, and Jann Barcellano, son of former Far Eastern University Tamaraws big man Francis Barcellano.
“I am happy with our performance here in this tournament. The players followed the game plan well,” Callora said. “I hope that we can bring that towards our next tournaments here in Bacolod.”/PN
