BACOLOD City – The Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts, bannering the name of JGM Dreams Foundation, is set to compete in the NVF Age Group Volleyball tournament starting this weekend in Silay City.
Representing the Thunderbolts team in the 18-and-under tournament are Aurea Claudette Alvero,Gwen Bañas, Annikha Cabasac, Katherine Shaine Cortez and Nicolei Galvan.
Jermaina Joniega, Julianne Monares, Kathleen Kate Tan and Alijah Ysulan will be completing Bacolod Tay Tung’s roster.
Thunderbolts assistant coach Biboy Calambia said that the purpose of participating in the tournament was to give the younger players more game exposure since most of the team’s key players are graduating next year.
“Most of our players are graduating or ineligible to play anymore next school year, so we are giving the young players the exposure,” Calamba said.
Bacolod Tay Tung will also have a team in the 13-and-under and 15-and-under category, handled by head coach Anthony Blasi./PN
