Bacolod to add more ‘trike’ franchise

BACOLOD City – The City Council has approved on first reading a proposed ordinance granting additional franchise for tricycle drivers and operators in the city.

“It is necessary to establish a new terminals and routes for which motorized tricycles may offer their services,” said councilor Dindo Ramos who authored the proposed ordinance.

Ramos said the new franchise will cater new tricycle associations with corresponding number of units.

Cited on Section 1, No. 650 of the proposed ordinance are the areas where motorized tricycles can operate, respective motorcycle terminals and the number of units allowed to ply within a specified route.

Ramos said motorized tricycle is the most convenient and fastest form of public transportation for commuters./PN
