Banago man shot dead

BACOLOD City – A man was killed while another was wounded in a shooting incident in Barangay Banago.   

The 29-year-old resident Mark Alob died of gunshot wound on the body, a police report showed.

Wounded was 33-year-old Ryan Abarico, the report added.

Police identified the suspect as 29-year-old resident Fritz Diosanta.

According to police investigators, Alob was standing on a foot walk when Diosanta shot him using an unknown firearm around 1 a.m. on Tuesday.

Abarico, who was also in the area, sustained a gunshot wound on the back, police said.

Alob and Abarico were brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital here where Alob was declared dead.

The motive in the shooting was not immediately established.

Officers of Police Station 3 conducted a manhunt operation against Diosanta, who fled after the incident./PN
