ILOILO City – A 16-year-old girl from Barotac Viejo, Iloilo has accused her brother of raping her four times.
The first raped happened on Oct. 27 this year in a nipa hut at the back of their house, according to the girl.
She could no longer remember the dates of the two succeeding sexual assaults, she told the police.
Her 39-year-old brother threatened to harm her should she tell anyone about the rape, she said.
The fourth time she was raped was on Nov. 27, said the girl.
It was that day when the girl mustered enough courage to tell her mother and elder sister about the rape. They then accompanied her to the police to file a report.
Captain Ken Albert Lepsia, Barotac Viejo police chief, said the suspect’s whereabouts are currently unknown. He left their house.
Lepsia said they are preparing to file a case against the suspect./PN
