BACOLOD City- The flyover in Barangay Bata and bridge 1 in Barangay Sum-ag, are closed after the structures are undergoing rehabilitation and major repairs.
An advisory released by the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) earlier informed the public that the Lacson-Circumferential flyover is closed to all vehicles from 8 a.m. from March 16 until May 23.
Only one lane at a time shall be occupied and only light vehicles are allowed to pass on the flyover, according to Dennis Perma, spokesperson of BTAO.
While, the Sum-ag Bridge 1 along Araneta Street, Bacolod south road, is closed to all vehicles from March 15 to 23.
Perma said, the Department of Public Works and Highways- Bacolod City District Engineering Office informed them that the purpose of the repair and rehabilitation is to avoid untoward incidents that the bridge might cause to motorists and other road users.
“Please take necessary precautions while passing in this area. Your safety is our concern,” he added.
