BACOLOD City – “The more, the better.”
This was Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran’s response to the plan of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) to establish an additional five police stations in the city.
He said it is “high time” that Bacolod gets more police stations to curb criminalities.
Frank Carbon, chief executive officer of the Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said Colonel Manuel Placido, city director of BCPO, informed them about individuals donating lands for the proposed police stations.
One lot was located in the boundary of barangays Alangilan and Granada.
Familiaran added that a barangay official of Barangay Cabug also offered their lot through a usufruct.
The business community also supports the BCPO.
Many investors are coming in the city so there is a need to heighten security, Carbon stressed./PN
