BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) confiscated more than P4 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested four individuals in two separate buy-bust operations on the evening of August 10.
In its intensified campaign against illegal drugs, BCPO operatives seized an estimated 600 grams of shabu with a combined street value of P4,080,000.
At around 8:34 p.m. in Zone 5, Barangay Handumanan, the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) led by its chief, Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Benitez Jr., nabbed two suspects identified as aliases “Levi,” a resident of Barangay Handumanan, and “Raegil,” a resident of Barangay Estefania.
Recovered from them were approximately 520 grams of suspected shabu worth P3,536,000.
Minutes later, at about 8:42 p.m. in Purok Grasya, Barangay Singcang-Airport, Police Station 8 operatives led by Captain Greeky Cayao, officer-in-charge, arrested aliases “Evon” and “Riche,” both residents of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Authorities confiscated around 80 grams of suspected shabu valued at P544,000 from the pair.
The suspects are facing charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
