MALIK Beasley established a franchise record for the most three-pointers in a season as the Detroit Pistons achieved a commanding 132-92 victory over the Chicago Bulls in the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season on Tuesday night (Wednesday in the Philippines) at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Beasley, who was acquired by the Pistons as a free agent in the offseason, contributed 24 points, including seven three-pointers, setting a new Detroit record for three-pointers in a season with a total of 212.

The previous record was held by former Pistons and now Washington Wizards forward Saddiq Bey, who converted 211 three-pointers during the 2021-22 NBA regular season.

Cade Cunningham added 20 points, along with seven assists and six rebounds, while Tobias Harris contributed 18 points, and Ausar Thompson contributed 16 points, leading the Pistons to their third consecutive victory and improving their record to 28-26.

The Pistons dominated the first half, outscoring the Bulls 71-29, which also marked a franchise record for the largest halftime lead, surpassing the previous record of 34 points set against Chicago on March 3, 1969.

The Bulls only have two players reach double figures, with Matas Buzelis scoring 12 points and Josh Giddey adding 11. They dropped to a 22-32 record with the lopsided loss.

Meanwhile, Scottie Barnes collected 33 points and 10 rebounds and Immanuel Quickley added 23 points, lifting  Toronto Raptors to a 106-103 victory over Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia.

Barnes made 10 of 16 shots from the floor and Quickley sank 7 of 11 attempts for the Raptors, who snapped a four-game losing skid to move up to 17-37 in the standings.

Gradey Dick had 17 points and three steals, including one on Joel Embiid in the late stages, for the Raptors. He added a free throw with 5.3 seconds to play to cap the scoring.

Embiid recorded 27 points and 12 rebounds, Jared Butler scored 15 points, Paul George had 14, Quentin Grimes chipped in 13 and Kelly Oubre Jr. added 12 for Philadelphia, which dropped to a 20-33 record./PN
