Bench reveals plan to bring ‘Crash Landing on You’ star Hyun Bin to PH

OTHER than maybe finally getting out of their houses, it seems fans of the hit K-drama “Crash Landing on You” will have something else to look forward to once the COVID-19 pandemic ends.

This is because this Wednesday Bench founder Ben Chan revealed on People Asia plans to bring the series’ lead star Hyun Bin to Manila “once it’s safe for everyone to travel.”

His exclusive interview followed a tease from Chan, who wrote on his Instagram: “Your crush, landing soon.”

Chan told People Asia that he and his team are hoping to fly Hyun Bin to the country for a fan meet either late this year or early 2021.

“Only God can tell [when],” he said, but promised the K-drama star’s fans that it’ll “definitely” happen.

In the same interview, he also explained the decision to delay the unveiling of the billboards featuring Hyun Bin, saying that it might be insensitive to do so during a pandemic, and how he hopes getting this endorsement will help boost their sales following the blow it took caused by the forced closures due to the quarantine.

Hyun Bin is one of the stars of “Crash Landing on You,” which has proven to be a smash hit not just in South Korea, but across Asia as well, including the Philippines.

It tells the story of a South Korean billionaire heiress who falls in love with a North Korean soldier after she accidentally lands in his territory following a paragliding accident. Son Ye-jin co-stars the series.

Smart Communications also tapped Hyun Bin as one of its endorsers. (ABS-CBN News)
