BACOLOD City – Mayor Evelio Leonardia is seeking Sangguniang Panlungsod’s authority to sign two separate contracts of service between the city government and IPM Construction and Development Corp.
In his letter to Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran and the SP, Leonardia is requesting for authority to sign two contract s of service covering March 1 to Dec. 31, 2020.
The first contract is the environment and sanitary services, which the IPM-CDC will collect and haul the garbage in this city worth amount of P164,970,118.40. The other proposed contract is for the management and operation of the sanitary landfill facility in Barangay Felisa in the amount of P79,697,040.19.
According to Familiaran, Leonardia’s request was already included in the agenda of the SP last week. He said it was referred to Councilor Dindo Ramos, chairperson of the Committee on laws and ordinances.
He added that the committee will conduct a committee hearing first and it is due for the approval of the council.
The IPM-CDC has started contracting with the city since Leonardia assumed the post on 2016 as the the City Mayor./PN
