ANTIQUE – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) canceled sea travel from the province of Antique to Occidental Mindoro and Palawan and vice versa via small crafts of 250 registered gross tons.
On Tuesday morning, Dec. 27, Acting Station Commander of PCG-Antique Coast Guard ENS Marlou Cloma issued an advisory about this, citing strong to gale-force winds associated with the northeast monsoon.
“Trips from Antique (Semirara, Caluya, Libertad, and Culasi) to Occidental Mindoro/Palawan and vice versa via small sea crafts of 250 GRT and below are cancelled while large vessels are alerted against big waves,” read part of the PCG advisory.
The seagoing riding public, coastal communities, and fisher folk were advised not to venture into the sea and refrain from engaging in sea-related activities to prevent any untoward incidents./PN
