ANTIQUE – Travel via small sea vessels from Antique (Semirara, Caluya, Libertad, and Culasi) to Occidental Mindoro and Palawan and vice versa has resumed.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration lifted its gale warning over Antique.
Lieutenant Senior Grade Rey Anacita, station commander of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Antique, issued sea travel advisory No. 16 on Wednesday, Sept. 6, announcing the resumption of boat trips.
“As of 5 a.m. [Wednesday], strong to gale-force winds associated with the southwest monsoon enhanced by Tropical Depression ‘Haiku’ and Tropical Depression ‘Ineng’ affecting the western seaboards, particularly in the province of Antique, have been lifted,” read the advisory.
The seagoing public, coastal communities, and fisher folk were advised to still take precautionary measures.
