ANTIQUE – A 13-year-old boy died after he got electrocuted in Purok 4, Sunrise Subdivision, Barangay Funda-Dalipe, San Jose de Buenavista town.
The victim was identified as alias “Nat”, a resident of the aforementioned barangay.
According to Staff Sergeant Jhon Rey Moises, investigator of the San Jose Municipal Police Station, Nat and his stepbrother climbed a mango tree to get fruits using a bamboo pole with a steel hook on its end around 4 p.m. on July 11.
“Ang jang biktima kaimaw ka anang stepbrother. Nagsaka sanda sa mangga or indian mango didjan sa may Purok 4 sa Sunrise Subdivision kag gapanguwit sanda kang bunga kang mangga gamit ang kawayan nga may hook sa punta… steel hook. Kaso lang accidentally di na ma-control naigo tana [victim] sa distribution line kang ANTECO. Nasalapay na kag didto nakuryente tana, nahulog tana sa dalom kang mangga,” Moises said.
The boy was rushed to Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician, added Moises./PN
