
BACOLOD City – A seven-year-old boy died of electrocution at a public park in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental on Saturday night, Dec. 9.
Authorities have requested not to identify the victim, although they confirmed that he was a resident of Purok Salmon in Barangay Zone 6, Cadiz City.
According to the police, the child was playing when he accidentally touched an open wire from the park’s ground lighting.

Paramedics immediately tried to revive the victim but he was declared dead upon arrival at the city’s emergency clinic.
Authorities have cordoned off the area where the electrocution occurred and turned off the power to the ground lighting. (Watchmen Daily Journal)/PN
