Brownlee vs Durham in PBA’s Best Import race

MANILA – Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings’ Justin Brownlee and Meralco Bolts’ Allen Durham are in a tight battle for the Bobby Parks Best Import of the Conference plum in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup.


Brownlee and Durham are favored for the citation after towing the Kings and the Bolts, respectively, to the best of seven championship series that will start on Jan. 7.


Brownlee is actually running second in the Best Import race with his 57.2 Statistical Points after collecting 29.0 points, 13.6 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.4 blocks averages.

Durham, a two-time winner of the individual citation, is not far from Brownlee with his 56.9 SPs after averaging 30.9 points, 15.2 boards, and 6.5 dimes this conference.


TNT KaTropa’s KJ McDaniels is actually leading the race with 58.6 SPs but his quest for the trophy is dashed with his team failing to reach the championship round.


Also with an outside shot for the award are NorthPort Batang Pier’s Michael Qualls with his 54.5 SPs, and Columbian Dyip’s Khapri Alston with his 54.2 SPs.


The Best Import of the Conference award as well as the Best Player of the Conference trophy are to be handed out in Game 4 of the Kings and Bolts finals series on Jan. 15./PN
