ILOILO City – An unidentified burglar tried to get into a house in Landheights Subdivision III, Barangay Buntatala, Jaro district.
The attempt was caught on the closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera installed on the house of the 55-year-old Rita Balgos, a police report showed.
Balgos told the police she woke up hearing a noise around 5:55 a.m. on May 29.
As seen from the CCTV monitor, Balgos switched on the light, and the suspect jumped off the gate and fled, police said.
The suspect tried to break the glass portion of the main door but failed, police said, citing the security camera footage.
Balgos found her glass window broken and the glass portion of the main door cracked, the police report showed./PN
