Cadiz, Bago still unbeaten in DFL

BACOLOD City — Football teams from Cadiz and Bago cities remained unbeaten in the ongoing Dynamic Football League 2014 Second Conference at Panaad Park and Sports Stadium football field in Barangay Mansilingan here.

In Group A Under-13 division, Cadiz posted its third straight win against Bata Elementary School, 10-1. Joshua Rivera scored five goals, while Christopher Javier booted in three markers and Mark Sedurifa with two goals.

Rexter John Llera prevented a shutout for Bata with a lone goal as his team tallied 1-1-1.

Cadiz shared with University of Negros Occidental–Recoletos (UNO-R) with three straight wins in the bracket after UNO-R beat Himamaylan Central School, 6-0.

Bago City Elementary School (ES) and Don Bosco Technical Institute ended in a 3-all draw in Group B of the Under-13 division.

Bago City is top in Group B standing with 2-0-1 cards. Don Bosco shared the 1-0-2 card with the defending champion, University of Saint La Salle (USLS), which also drew with Trinity Christian School, 1-all.

Moises Padilla ES defeated Sum-ag ES, 12-0, posting its first win in the tournament.

Apolinario Mabini ES registered its second victory with an 8-0 rout of La Consolacion College (LCC) for a 2-1-0 card. LCC remains winless.

St. Scholastica’s Academy posted its second win against Andres Bonifacio ES, 8-3, while St. John’s Institute outplayed Estefania ES, 7-1, to join the winner’s list.

In the Under-11 division, Don Bosco beat Trinity, 3-1, for the latter’s first loss. Don Bosco remained undefeated with three straight wins.

St. John’s Institute (2-0-0) placed second in the standing after winning its match against Moises Padilla, 3-2.

Trinity Christian School and USLS shared the No. 3 spot with identical 2-1 slate as the La Sallians prevailed over Montevista, 4-3.

Bata ES defeated UNO-R, 5-0, to land at No. 4, while Moises Padilla slipped to No. 5 with one win and two losses. UNO-R and Montevista remained winless in the tournament held during weekends./PN
