CAPIZ – The provincial government was able to release a total of P25,288,100 financial assistance to Capisnons in crisis situations in 2022.
Since Gov. Fredenil Castro assumed office on July 1, 2022, a total of 6,498 Capisnons were able to avail themselves of the aid, such as burial, medicine and cash assistance, data from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (PSWDO) showed.
The P25.2-million financial assistance does not yet include the financial aid for hospital bills.
For 2023, the provincial government vowed to continue extending assistance to all Capisnons in need. (With reports from Capiz Provincial Government Communication Group)/PN
