
CAPIZ – The Capiz Provincial Health Office (PHO) in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH)-6 conducted Animal Bite Treatment Center (ABTCs) Re-Certification recently at the City Health Office, Barangay Inzo Arnaldo, Roxas City.
The activity aims to ensure all ABTCs in the province have met the required standards in the provision of safe and quality health services in compliance with the DOH’s mandate.
The re-certification activity was spearheaded by Capiz PHP Nurse II Mark Louie G. Atanque along with Regional Certifying Team Dr. Marie Jocelyn J. Te, OIC Infectious and EOH Section of the DOH-6; Ame Liz M. Mardoquio, RMT, Regional Rabies Program Manager; Mimie Rose Sencil, RN, Regional Rabies Surveillance Officer; and Maria Jhoanna Rose Oro, Pharmacist II.
The CHO’s ABTC staff and personnel also participated in the activity.
This was followed by a coordination meeting and feed-backing between the DOH-6’s Regional Certifying Team and Regional Rabies Surveillance Section and the Capiz Provincial Health Office (PHO) headed by Dr. Ramon Alex T. Nolasco.
Discussed during the meeting were various plans, priorities, updates, issues, and concerns as well as the Rabies Prevention and Control Program activities conducted with partners and stakeholders to ensure the provision of safe and quality service in the province./PN
