ILOILO City – A carpenter was arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Tan Pael, Tigbauan, Iloilo.
Suspect James Torres, 25, of the said barangay, was found on Monday morning in possession of 20 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P136,000.
He sold to an undercover police the illegal substance worth P6,500.
When the police frisked him, 30 grams of suspected shabu were recovered.
The suspect was taken to Tigbauan Police Station.
Intelligence reports showed that Torres’ drug source was from Iloilo City.
He denied involvement in the illegal drug trade and using illegal drugs.
He will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
