Cars for 7 Board members OK’d

BACOLOD City — Seven Provincial Board members may have their respective service vehicles soon after the Department of Interior and Local Government approved the cars’ purchase.

Each unit will have a minimum cost of P1.3 million, according to Provincial Administrator Enrique Pinongan.

To be provided with vehicles were Board members Renato Malabor and Alain Gatuslao of the 5th District, Victor Javellana of the 4th District, Rolando Ponsica and Renato Gustilo of the 1st District, and Johann Kho and Patrick Leonard Lacson of the 3rd District.

Lacson and Gustilo have requested to have their cars, purchased five years ago and already “dilapidated,” replaced.

Board members Salvador Escalante Jr. and Dr. Miller Serondo of the 2nd District, Jose Benito Alonso of the 4th District; Pedro Zayco Jr. of the 6th District, and Philippine Councilors’ League–Negros Occidental president Raul Rivera did not request for replacement.

Association of Barangay Councils–Negros Occidental president Mark Cui did not ask for a service vehicle yet./PN
