In celebration of the Month of the Ocean, the Iloilo provincial government’s Environment and Natural Resources Office, together with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office of San Dionisio, spearheaded a mangrove planting and coastal clean-up activity in Barangay Tiabas, San Dionisio, Iloilo on Tuesday morning, May 20. Around 600 seedlings of “bungalon” and “bakhaw” mangroves were planted as part of the community’s effort to protect and restore coastal ecosystems.
