ILOILO — In a heartfelt celebration of resilience and determination, SPC Island Power Corporation (SIPC) recognized 21 exceptional graduates from elementary, junior high school, and senior high school in Dingle, Iloilo, on May 22, 2026.
The event was a testament to the achievement and ambition of these remarkable students.
These outstanding individuals, who excelled in both academic and co-curricular activities, were awarded generous scholarship grants, reflecting SIPC’s steadfast commitment to supporting education.
This initiative was made possible through the visionary leadership of SPC Power Corporation’s management team, the parent company of the SPC Island Power Corporation, which includes Mr. James Roy N. Villareal, President and CEO; Mr. Dennis T. Villareal, Chairman Emeritus; Mr. Cesar O. Villegas, Chief Operating Officer; and Mr. Niño Ray D. Aguirre, Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration. Their dedication to nurturing the potential of young minds is truly commendable.
Among the honorees were the top achievers from Tinocuan Elementary School, Tabugon Elementary School, and Tabugon National High School (both junior and senior high schools).
These bright students received cash incentives for their outstanding accomplishments during the 2025–2026 school year.
The corporation distributed cash incentives to the top five achievers per school level:

This activity values community and education,” said Orfenia D. Osano, principal I of Tabugon National High School.

Through these scholarships, SIPC not only invests in the futures of these students but also enriches the entire community, inspiring hope and resilience.

To the students, we’ll glad that one day we will see one of you walking through the gates of our office applying for a position. At the plant, we strive to help in any way we can. We serve as a bridge to connect our company with the community. We support various community programs and activities especially in the area of education through our Community Service Relations program,” said Engr. Regie L. Danitaras, SIPC Plant Manager.
As these students prepare to embark on their next chapters, they carry with them the promise of a brighter tomorrow, fueled by the belief that their dreams are within reach.
“Thank you, ma’am, sir, sa gin hatag niyo nga cash incentive subong, dako gid ni nga bulig sa amon sa subong nga pigado ang kabuhi. Makabulig gid ini nga kwarta sa pang-adlaw-adlaw namon kag para prepared man sa opening sang klase, para kabakal kami sang mga school supplies,” said Joy Ann C. Cabareño, Grade 10, top 1.
