IN today’s continuously changing social landscape, especially for print media, the most valuable and reliable asset is and will always be human resources.
From the collective minds creating pieces that shake society to the hands that fold and distribute the printed pages of Panay News’ daily paper — each individual matters.
To wrap up another year in the most fruitful way possible, Panay News filled Dec. 23, 2023 with insightful, fun, and rewarding activities.
The morning program started with a message from the chief operating officer, Daniel S. Fajardo II.
A yearend conference was then held as a refresher of the basic tenets the company has stood for. Intra- and interpersonal skills of employees were further honed during a session with soft skills training consultant Ms. Rowena Diaz.
As the evening curtain dropped, the yearend party kicked off with dashing shades of pink and blue as the dress code.
First, employees were recognized for their dedicated service.
The Loyalty Awardees were: Rex Sorial (20 years), Ime Sorial (15 years), Mary Zohayda Baltazar (5 years), and Paul Joseph Banay (Petron, 5 years).
The Achievement Awardees were: Edmar C. Viado (Social Media Advocate of the Year), Mae Singuay (Lapsus Contributor of the Year), Lechelle Bonito (Direct Account Officer of the Year), Rex Sorial (Operator of the Year), Dominique Gabriel Bañaga (Journalist of the Year for Watchmen Daily Journal), Ime Sorial (Journalist of the Year for Panay News), Leahlyn P. Fajardo (Sales Achiever of the Year), Jonnalyn Gulmatico (Rookie of the Year), Mary Zohayda Baltazar (Service from the Heart Award), Pearl Rylene Mae Socias (Employee of the Year), and Rex Maestrecampo (Leadership of the Year).
For Petron employees, the awardees were Henry John Mana-ay (Service Master of the Year) and Nieva Grace Gorriceta (Cashier of the Year).
The awarding was followed by energizing song and dance numbers, games, and raffles.
Now it’s time to say goodbye and welcome 2024 with open arms. Cheers to another year of being the most preferred newspaper in Region 6! /PN
