Ceneco seeks better public engagement with more centers

BACOLOD City – There are now 12 Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) payment centers in Bacolod and Silay cities.

The electric cooperative that supplies power to four cities (Bacolod, Bago, Silay, and Talisay) and two towns (Murcia and Salvador Benedicto) in Negros Occidental has partnered with ALVIO Business Center – thus the additional payment centers.

These centers will accept power bill payments from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. On Saturdays, they are open from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

In Bacolod, the payment centers are located in:

*Barangay Granada

*Barangay Sum-ag

*Barangay Estefania

*Barangay 16

*Barangay Villamonte

*Barangay Singcang-Airport

*Barangay 12

*Barangay Handumanan

*Barangay Mansilingan (two centers)

In Silay, there are two payment centers – one located at the Deogracias Business Center in Barangay 2 while the other, at the CAAC Business Center in Barangay E. Lopez.

Ceneco general manager Sulpicio Lagarde Jr. said the 12 centers accept delayed power bill payments.

But they will not accommodate member-consumers who have disconnection and reconnection concerns, he added.

Should this be the case, Lagarde said member-consumers must directly go to the Ceneco main office./PN
