Ceres adjusts schedule of bus trips

BACOLOD City – Vallacar Transit, Inc. (VTI), operator of Ceres Liner and Tours buses, is observing a new schedule for bus trips in Negros Occidental.

It is aligned with Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson’s enforcement of an 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. curfew to curb the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Jade Seballos, media relations officer of VTI, said the adjusted schedule took effect yesterday.

They have set an early afternoon last trip like those plying from Bacolod to Hinoba-an, Sipalay City, and Kabankalan City in southern areas and from Bacolod to San Carlos City in the northern part of the province.

Seballos stressed that, due to the early curfew hours, only about 20 percent of their buses was in operation in the Ceres South Terminal and 35 percent in the North Ceres Terminal.

Seballos admitted that the riding public will be affected in the days to come because “most of our passengers are workers.”

The riding public can contact their nearest Ceres bus terminal for the new schedule of trips, she said./PN
