BACOLOD City – For illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions, a 38-year-old man was arrested in Barangay I-B, Manapla, Negros Occidental.
Elmer Parreño was a resident of the town’s Barangay Purisima.
According to the police, the suspect yielded a homemade firearm and bullets at a checkpoint around 9:45 a.m. on June 6.
Parreño was detained at the Manapla police station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, would be filed against him./PN
