ILOILO City – For him to avoid detention, he must pay P200,000.
Aliard Paul Evangelista, 21, of Barangay Rizal Estanzuela, City Proper was accused of violating Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
Specifically, he was charged with violation of the law’s Section 5 (b), which penalizes “those who commit the act of sexual intercourse of lascivious conduct with a child exploited in prostitution or subject to other sexual abuse.”
Evangelista surrendered to Superintendent Victor G. Rito of the Regional Intelligence Unit around 8 a.m. on July 27, a police report showed.
Senior Police Officer 2 Jerrico M. Jamolo brought him to Police Station 1 where he was detained around 12:45 p.m.
The court set his bail bond at P200,000. It was not clear as of press time if the suspect has posted bail./PN
