
ILOILO City – Contract of service and job order employees of the city government will get a P100 additional compensation daily.
According to Mayor Jerry Treñas, these employees will now receive P500 per day or P10,000 a month.
The salary increase will start next month, the mayor said.
“Subong nga tiempo ‘syado gid ka pigado. Ginpangitaan gid ‘na sang paagi sang aton finance committee upod sa aton city council nga ma-implement na ang Salary Standardization Law 5,” said Treñas.
The city government has around 3,000 job hires.
The proposed P3-billion 2022 executive budget also included the appropriation for the increase in salaries and wages of workers based on job orders and contracts of services by 12.5 percent, and the implementation of the third tranche of the salary schedule for local government units effective July 2022./PN
