BACOLOD City – With a week remaining until the May 12 midterm elections, Team Asenso led by Mayor Alfredo Abelardo “Albee” Benitez is campaigning to vote for 16-0 to “continue the change” (padayon ang pagbag-o).
Despite stepping down from his post on June 30 after serving this city for one term, Mayor Benitez is still pushing for change to transform Bacolod into a “Super City.”
“This change will not only be applied to governance but also to infrastructures so that Bacolod will not be left behind,” the mayor said.
He further said that in order to make Bacolod a Super City, he needs to be in the national level so that he can deliver and provide more for the city, thus he is seeking for a congressional post.
He assured his constituents that he can deliver more projects to the city once he will be elected for the new post.
Also, during their campaign trail, the city mayor urged for a straight vote for the whole Team Asenso, and the Abang Lingkod party-list.
Other members of his slate are incumbent Bacolod City Lone District’s representative and mayoral candidate Greg Gasataya, vice mayoral bet Claudio Jesus Puentevella, and councilorables Al Espino, Thaddy Sayson, Celia Flor, Jason Villarosa, Em Ang, Israel Salanga, Pao Sy, and Vladimir Gonzales (incumbent); and Atty. Caesar Distrito, Atty. Dindo Ramos, Homer Bais, and Bobby Rojas (former councilors).
Meanwhile, under his term as the mayor of Bacolod City for three years, Mayor Benitez has fulfilled his 8-point agenda:
