Cop arrested in Makati drug bust

MANILA – A policeman was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay East Rembo, Makati City.

Philippine National Police Spokesman Colonel Bernard Banac said Staff Seargent Chris Marquez yielded four sachets of shabu worth P30,000.

Marquez was caught after he sold shabu to an poseur-buyer for P5,000 last Thursday.

The Counter-Intelligence Task Force (CITF) staged the entrapment operation.

Armed with the search warrant, the task force raided Marquez’s house where they recovered one UPP .9mm pistol with magazine, one Glock 17, 43 .9mm bullets, two airgun rifles, three sachets of suspected shabu, and other drug paraphernalia.

Marquez – who was now in the custody of CITF– was facing facing criminal and administrative cases. (With a report from PNA/PN)
