Cop files raps vs boss for ‘unwanted romantic advances’

ILOILO City – A high-ranking police official of the Guimaras Police Provincial Office (GPPO) is in “hot water”. A neophyte policewoman complained of alleged harassment and unwanted romantic advances.

The policewoman whose name was withheld personally went to the office of Atty. Joseph Celis, director of the National Police Commission (Napolcom) in Region 6, and lodged a complaint against her superior, Police Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Dizon, GPPO’s deputy provincial director for administration.

The policewoman said she wanted Dizon to stop pursuing her. The latter was a married man.

Dizon could not be reached for comment as of press time.

The complainant added that Dizon’s wife was calling her often, and this triggered her anxiety.

Panay News sources said Dizon also figured in a verbal tussle and gun-toting with another official.

On the other hand, GPPO director, Police Colonel Pablito Asmod said he would recommend sacking Dizon in order not to influence the ongoing investigation.

“The Napolcom will take charge of his case. This is his personal problem, and he will face the consequences,” Asmod said./PN
