Cops net men wanted for child violence, gambling

ILOILO City – Two men wanted for violence against a child and illegal gambling had been arrested, police reports showed.

Officers caught the 56-year-old Jose Capasilan in Barangay Centro Poblacion, Culasi, Antique.

Capasilan, a resident of Barangay Bitadton, Culasi, has been charged with violation of the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, specifically Section 10 (Other Acts of Neglect, Abuse, Cruelty or Exploitation and Other Conditions Prejudicial to the Child’s Development).

Officers of the Culasi police station served him a warrant of arrest at around 9:30 a.m. on March 27.

Capasilan was detained at the Culasi police station custodial facility.

The court set the bail bond for his temporary liberty at P6,000.

On the other hand, the 40-year-old Hagibis Bacusa was charged with violation of Republic Act 9287, the law that increased penalties for illegal numbers games.

Bacusa was detained at the custodial facility of the police station in Pilar, Capiz, another police report stated.

Municipal police officers served him a warrant of arrest at around 9 a.m. on March 26 in Barangay San Esteban, Pilar where he lives.

The court set the bail bond for the suspect’s temporary liberty at P10,000, the report stated./PN
