Councilman: My daughter was almost abducted

ILOILO City – An unidentified motorcycle-driving man tried to abduct his Grade 10 daughter, according to a barangay councilman of San Nicolas, La Paz district.

Good thing his daughter managed to get down from the motorcycle and run away, said Rollen Balajadia.

The foiled abduction happened at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday on Mission Extension road, La Paz. His daughter was walking alone, said Balajadia.

The motorcycle-driving man who was wearing a helmet stopped by the teenager and told her that her father was supposedly waiting for her at a bank in Jaro district.

The young girl boarded the motorcycle but minutes after decided to get down and flee after getting suspicious.

Police Captain Eduardo Siacon, Jaro police chief, did not discount the possibility that the Budol-budol Gang was behind the incident.

“They have another modus operadi. They would trick unsuspecting individuals into believing that a relative was waiting or looking for them. They would eventually rob the victims of their valuables,” said Siacon./PN
