BACOLOD City – While waiting for the guidelines on coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine booster shots, Negros Occidental’s Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson said they would focus on vaccinating persons with existing comorbidities and senior citizens.

Lacson said the priorities are those who have yet to receive the vaccine.

The provincial government also strengthened its partnership with barangays to encourage more Negrenses to get vaccinated.

Data from the Department of Health showed the province has administered anti-virus shots to 367,775 individuals (as of Nov. 8) out of the 1,825,370 target population./PN
