PREGNANCY speculations hounded Cristine Reyes after a recent social media post in which she was seen at an event wearing a casual loose dress.
Reyes attended the opening of a restaurant in Pasay, as shown in the photos on the actress’ Instagram page last Saturday, Nov. 15. The actress donned a pink halter trapeze dress, which apparently made some of her followers to think that she is expecting.
Netizens then bombarded the comments section, asking if Reyes was pregnant. Some even congratulated her, saying she is a “blooming preggy.”
The owner of the restaurant, Harvey Alumisin, who was with the actress during the event, then responded to the speculations and clarified that she is not pregnant.
“Hindi po buntis si Cristine! Malaki lang po ang damit,” he said, quipping that Reyes wore such an outfit to be “ready” for the amount of food she would eat during the event.
(Cristine is not pregnant. Her outfit was just a bit loose.)
Reyes, in a seeming effort to affirm Alumisin’s statement, replied, “I love you bestie! Balik ako sa [Milagrosa] for bagnet.” (I will return for the crispy fried pork belly.)
Reyes has a daughter named Amarah whom she shares with her former husband Ali Khatibi. The actress is currently rumored to be in a relationship with former National Youth Commission (NYC) chairperson Gio Tingson. (Anne Pasajol © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
