CULASI, Antique – For the safety of parents, teachers, learners, and other school staff, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Culasi, Antique issued school protocols to minimize the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)
The Culasi Municipal Information Officer John John Sumanting , the designated Tourism Officer and OIC of Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), personally issued the Memorandum 01 last January 12 in the order of Mayor Jose Jefrey Lomugdang.
The continuous spread of different variants of COVID-19 worldwide slows down the global economy, world trade, and movements were disrupted so all segments of the population were severely affected. It has caused a dramatic disruption in the delivery of education. It has closed-down educational Institutions from primary to tertiary in our municipality and shifted the instruction to distance or online learning and modular learning.
The province of Antique was put onto Alert Level 3 effective on January 14, 2022 hence to ensure the health and safety of everybody, all schools in the District of Culasi will adhere to the minimum health standards set by the Department of Education, Department of Health and Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force.
Every school in the municipality of Culasi shall implement the following.
* Parents, guardians, and students must wear facemask and face shields before entering the school. Then, they will scan their temperature through digital thermal scanners with an alcohol dispenser, write their names in the logbook for possible contact tracing, and wash their hands in the handwashing facility before going to the teachers’ classroom and administration officer for a transaction. Those with a temperature above 37.5 Celcius will not be allowed to enter the school premises.
* Put up visible markers for physical distancing.
* Provide hand sanitizer, foot bath, and foot-controlled alcohol dispenser at the entrance of every classroom.
* Provide signages to remind parents during distribution and retrieval of modules, class cards, and the like.
* Disinfect classrooms every three days.
* Preferably, only those fully vaccinated teachers and students (18 years old and above) were allowed to enter the school premises.
* The number of allowable participants or the number of people allowed in the premises is only 30 percent of the venue capacity and an additional 10 percent if the place has a safety seal.
* In conducting activities such as home visitation, mentoring, training, seminar, and the like a letter of intent must be submitted to the MIATF spokesperson for issuance of the endorsement./PN
